Privacy Policy

When you upload screenshots or paste text, we send that content to third-party Large Language Model providers (currently Anthropic) for the purpose of extracting place names, types, and recommendations. Anthropic processes this content under their data-use policy and does not train models on inputs sent through their API. We do not send your email address or any account identifier alongside this content.

Uploaded images are stored on encrypted object storage for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted. The extracted text — place names, neighborhoods, your notes — persists in your account until you delete the trip or your account.

DropMyTrip does not request access to, log in to, or scrape any third-party social platform on your behalf, including TikTok, Instagram, Threads, and Xiaohongshu. All content you import via those platforms must be uploaded by you as a screenshot or pasted as text. For Pinterest, YouTube, and Reddit, we use only the official public APIs.

Every trip is private to its creator. We do not operate a public discovery feed, social graph, or recommendation engine based on other users' trips. We do not display, aggregate, or rank places by who has saved them.

We do not sell, rent, or license your data — personal information, trip contents, or extracted places — to third parties. We do not share data with advertising networks. We use service providers such as Supabase for storage, Anthropic for AI, and Creem for payments solely to operate the service.
